Dear Fellow
Servant:
Last
Sunday, we began our casual dress
at our Midtown campus, so remember we are
intentionally dressing down for the summer
months.
Our
July sermon series, “The Message
in The Music” had a great kick-off last Sunday as
I focused on the 70’s Generation. The 70’s
song lifted was a Heat Wave song - “Always and
Forever” and the sermon topic was
“Acceptance”; where there is acceptance, love can
blossom and love can flower, and somebody might be
together even in their old age singing “Always and
Forever”. That’s a brief synopsis of last
week’s sermon, don’t miss this week, your favorite
song might be the selected song. This sermon
series is a great series for family acceptance,
healing, forgiveness and love. Please consider
purchasing a CD or DVD to share with family and
friends?
Wednesday
evening, we began our new mid-week sermon series;
“How to
Make Good Godly Decisions” that will give us
answers and help us make better decisions. The
remaining sermon series’ topics will be July 13 – Financial
Decisions, July 20 – Career
Decisions, and July
27 – Spiritual Decisions. Join me for the remaining sermons
and learn how our families are impacted by these
life
occurrences.
If
you are not able to attend a worship service,
remember to log-on to www.theblvd.org.
Live streaming is available on our website. Also,
tune in to 15 Minutes of
Faith on Wednesdays, at 6:00PM on 95.7. Never
miss a worship experience, there’s a blessing just
for you.
We
are doing it again! Our N3
Conference, 3 nights of uplifting preaching, music
and empowerment sessions designed just for
you. Start inviting your family, friends, and
co-workers to this powerful conference with
sessions like, “What Makes you Stay? Before You
Say I Do; the ‘S’ Word; By God’s Grace: Successful
Single Parenting; Generation XXX, Sex and
Sexuality; and many more”. Make plans to be here.
Dinner will be served nightly, from 5:00PM to
5:45PM, for the low cost of $2.00 per person.
Registration starts Sunday, July
31.
The
Christian
Church General Assembly began today, Friday,
July 8. Our staff, Elders and lay persons will be
representing THE BLVD by leading workshops and
serving in different capacities. Thank you to all
BLVD attendees for your presence and servanthood
at this year’s General
Assembly.
Remember,
Sunday is the day of week for worship, and I will
always be looking forward to seeing
you.
Be
in the House,
