MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD
CHRISTIAN CHURCH
|

Greetings
Fellow Servant:
I
am very grateful for the wonderful time we had together at both
campuses on this past Sunday.
We have received Facebook messages and tweets about how you
were blessed by worship and for this we give God glory. We also praise God for what
is happening with our young people. We had nearly 200
worshippers for our youth service with guest artist, “Fro” on
Sunday. Did you know 27 young people joined this month during
student worship & we had 12 children to join in Discipletown?
What a wonderful way to start the year!
If
you haven’t heard yet, this Sunday, we are excited to welcome back
Rev. Dr. Carolyn Showell as our guest speaker. If you are not familiar with
her dynamic ministry please see this
clip. Rev. Dr. Carolyn Showell is a
sought after speaker and we are so blessed to have her this
week!
Immediately
following service this
Sunday, we are excited to host our ReKindle Ministry Fair at both
campuses! Come out
to learn about our ministries and how you can better serve your
church, this city, our country and the world!
Remember,
our new Midweek Worship Series starts tonight. Join us at the Midtown Campus
at 7:00pm each Wednesday for “Go Tell It” – a tag team preaching
series featuring our pastoral staff. This exciting new series
features a surprise duo each week. You never know who will be
paired up to preach – so don’t miss it!
Ash
Wednesday is approaching! Lent begins on February 13th
and ends on Holy Saturday on March 30th. We invite you to grow
spiritually as a community during this season as we reflect on the
sacrifice that Jesus made and anticipate the arrival of our next
Senior Pastor, Rev. Jason Lawrence Turner. Lenten guides will be
available starting next week.
I
want to encourage you to keep praying for our church, our next
Senior Pastor and the Community Baptist Church family in
Connecticut. Baby Turner is due any
moment, so let us also keep Sister Bridgett and their bundle of joy
in our thoughts and prayers.
As we pray as a family, let us recall our prayer and
scripture for the week.
Click here to see the prayer guide. Don’t forget to meet me in
the sanctuary tomorrow, Thursday morning at 6:30am, for prayer.
God is taking us
higher and higher each week and trust me, you don’t want to miss
this week.
I
love you and am praying for you in Jesus name!
