Dear Fellow
Servants:
One of our slogans at THE BLVD is
“Great things are happening at THE BLVD.” If you need evidence,
check out this week’s events.
One of the most exciting events is the
grand opening of our brand new Children and Youth space
(September 6). If
I could make fireworks go off in this note I would because it
is truly a blessing and one you will need to see with your own
eyes. We want
everyone to come and take the tour this Sunday directly
following the worship service. The good news doesn’t
stop there.
Between our pledges collected to-date and our offerings
we have received 94 percent of the funds needed to complete
this project. My
question now becomes are you in the 94 percent or are you in
the 6 percent? I
know we can make it 100% this Sunday. And by the way, I want
to thank the parents who signed up to volunteer with Pastor
Weston last Sunday.
There is still room for more but I am giving praise for
the faithful few who obeyed the
call.
Last Sunday (August 30), I mentioned
you to the city via an op-ed in the Commercial Appeal. Few days go by at THE
BLVD without my mentioning the importance of health. I decided to share my
views with the rest of the city as well. If you have not had
the opportunity to read the article in last Sunday’s paper,
you can get a look by clicking
here.
We are getting closer and closer to
birthing our new child: THE BLVD East. This is a great
opportunity for all of us to evangelize as I said last
Sunday. Have you
invited anyone to come and worship with us at THE BLVD East?
Sunday September 27 at 8:30 a.m. the Clark Opera Memphis
Center ought to be so full that we have to turn people away
simply because every member of THE BLVD invited a friend,
family member, or neighbor to just come and worship. This new worship
center will be just as much a part of our family as our
current worship facility. We must prepare the
way for souls to be saved. Believe me when I say God is
getting ready to do something profound with our ministry and
there will be visible effect. I can’t wait to see
this wonderful change!
With a Servant’s
Heart,

Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7. (NIV) Please
