FRANK THOMAS’ 30TH ORDINATION
ANNIVERSARY
Join us at THE BLVD for Pastor Frank’s
30th Ordination Anniversary on Sunday, February 13.
This is a tremendous milestone and we want to celebrate our
pastor. We will host two receptions; the first reception is
before 8:30AM worship service at THE BLVD East (7:45 – 8:30AM)
and the second reception is after 10:00AM worship service at
THE BLVD Midtown. Boxes will be available at both receptions
for congratulatory cards.

A NEW PLAN – A NEW
VAN
It’s been a long time coming BLVD but a change
has come. We have upgraded our transportation fleet beginning
with a new 25-passenger van/bus. It is the first of our fleet
upgrade and just one of the many ways we are bringing people
to Christ in 2011. Additionally, with this new bus comes a new
need for volunteers. If you have a CDL license and would like
to be a part of our transportation ministry please contact Charles Dickerson at

CLASSES
It’s a new year and what better way to start
than by getting your finances in order? Financial U classes
are available on Saturdays beginning February 5 from 9:00AM –
12:00PM. Registration begins Sunday following worship service
in THE BLVD East lobby and THE BLVD Midtown Montgomery lobby.

2011 GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE CHRISTIAN
CHURCH DISCIPLE OF CHRIST
The
2011 General Assembly of the Christian Church Disciples of
Christ is July 9 – 13 in Nashville, TN. Get a jump on the 2011
General Assembly and add a day on the front end of your trip
to Nashville and take advantage of learning opportunities
offered in advance of the General Assembly. Our own Senior
Pastor, Dr. Frank A. Thomas and President and General Minister
Sharon Watkins and Bill Thomas will lead in closing worship.

WATSA
Wholistic Approach To Substance Abuse is a Christ-centered
recovery support group for addictions, co-dependency and
compulsive behavior. Meetings are Tuesdays at 6:00PM in 04N.
If you or someone you know is looking to drop the “baggage” of
addiction, discover how to do so through Bible Study, prayer,

Love
Connection/Cocaine Anonymous is a citywide support group for
men and women of all ages, races and socio-economic
backgrounds. Meetings are Thursdays at 7:30PM in THE BLVD

Beale Street Walk of Fame musical note. Lewie is the recipient
of a Grammy and numerous worldwide honors for his contribution
to the music industry. We praise God for Lewie Steinberg,

BLVD YOUTH MAKES ALL WEST
ORCHESTRA
THE BLVD
congratulates one of our youth, Glenn Hill, II a
10th grader at Harding Academy High School,
selected to the All West Orchestra. Glenn, who began
playing the trombone 2 years ago, is one of five students from
Harding Academy selected to the All West Orchestra,
3rd Chair. Glenn’s additional accomplishments
include All West Band 2nd Chair Blue Band 2009, All
Southwest Tenor 2009 and Senior high band member as a
Freshman. Glenn is the son of Glenn Hill, Sr. and Earnestine
A. Hill and the brother of Grant A. Hill. THE BLVD family is
extremely proud of you and your accomplishments and we pray
for continued success in future endeavors.

Lichterman Employee of the Year Award. UT Health Science
Center annually awards non-exempt, full time employees who
have contributed beyond the usual scope of their jobs to the
University. Regina is a Senior Research Assistant in
Medicine-Gastroenterology with 35 years of service at the UT
Heath Science Center. We congratulate Regina for her service
and dedication to Health Science. |
