Dear
Fellow Servant,
It’s
Wednesday. This means it’s the first day of our new Bible
Study series called FamiLIES. Pastor Reggie
Bell is leading this study and I am asking you to support him
by coming out tonight at 7PM. Bring the entire
family. The format he has set up for this study is a new one
with a weekly skit, followed by Biblical applications and then
an open forum for Q&A. Each week he tackles a
misconception that exists in and has the ability to destroy
the family when not addressed.
As
you know, I am away for the next couple of weeks in Africa. I
was “informed” that I should not announce when I am going to
be away because it has an effect on attendance. Since I know
that this is NOT TRUE at THE BLVD, I am banking on you showing
up this Sunday and next Sunday. Pastor Reggie Bell is taking
on the next sin in our Seven Deadly Sins
series: PRIDE.
Come out Sunday to
either our 8:30AM
worship service at our East Campus inside
Opera Memphis or in Midtown at 10:00AM. Remember
that the 10:00AM worship is also streamed live at www.theblvd.org for those who
are not able to physically attend.
I
hope you are getting excited about the N3 Conference coming to
THE BLVD August 30
– September 1 nightly. The conference theme is Next Level…New Me…No
Limits! In essence the conference is designed to help
you reach the next level in your spiritual journey, unveiling
the new you and uncovering the truly unlimited power a God who
is able to do exceeding abundantly above all! There will be
Empowerment sessions and meals nightly for the low price of $1
per person ($5 for families of five or more). Activities
begin at 5:15PM. Worship begins at 7PM with special guest
preacher, Bishop
Rudolph McKissick.
If
you are reading this on Wednesday, you are reading on President Obama’s
birthday. The best thing we can do in honor of his
birthday is pray that he allows God to lead him and order his
steps as the Commander-in-Chief of this great country.
Secondly you can get out and vote. Voting is August 5, 2010.
If you have not already voted please exercise your
right.
Finally
in closing, I want to remind you that your health is your
wealth! Be
careful in this heat. The heat index at this level means BE
NOSEY! Check on the elderly, the children and pets in your
neighborhood. It could make the difference between life and
death.
God
bless you. Don’t forget to come out Sunday!
