MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD CHRISTIAN CHURCH |

|
Dear Fellow Servants,
I’ve received so many powerful testimonies and
responses to last Sunday’s premiere sermon for our latest
series, THE SEARCH FOR OZ: THE KINGDOM OF GOD
IS WITHIN YOU. If you missed last week’s worship
experience, you must get a copy of the CD or DVD. You can
pre-order the entire series! Secure yours after worship
service on Sunday.
I’m excited about the move of
God on this coming Sunday as we will continue the series with
“The Search for a Brain (Wisdom)” derived from 2 Chronicles 1:1-12.
Please get
to church on time—10AM or before—to receive the blessing that
God wants to give you through this awesome worship experience.
Just remember, God has already placed within you everything
you need—wisdom, courage, love, acceptance, a safe dwelling
place—and more!
I WILL TRUST IN GOD
AGAIN
“I Will Trust in God Again” (Proverbs
3:5-6) is the focus for our current MIDWEEK SERVICE every
Wednesday at 7PM in the MLK Seminar Room, as well as for our
FALL FESTIVAL OF PREACHING,
September 22 – 24 at 7PM nightly. The guest preacher for all
three nights will be Dr. Ralph D. West, Pastor and Founder
of The Church Without Walls inHouston, Texas. Click below to
view special videos for “I Will Trust in God
Again”.

everyone.
If
you are an aspiring artist, accomplished artist or maybe you
love to sing to praises to God, join V. MICHAEL MCKAY for an
exclusive musical workshop/rehearsal at 6PM each night of the
Fall Festival of Preaching. Yolanda Adams, Tramaine Hawkins
and Albertina Walker have all recorded his songs. This
one-time opportunity is open to the Memphis
community. This special community choir will sing each night
during the worship services. For more information call
901.272.5614.
Mark your calendars for important
activities and service opportunities below! Please forward our
eNews to your family and friends so that they are aware of
what’s happening at THE BLVD. Also, invite them to spend
Sunday with you in worship
service.

KROGER/SCHNUCKS FUNDRAISING
ACTIVITY
In last week’s E-news we indicated that we had
raised $3500 from the combined Kroger and Schnucks’
re-loadable card fundraising activity. Again, we thank you for
your faithfulness in loading and re-loading your Kroger and
Schnucks’ cards. This activity has been underway for seven (7)
months with us averaging about $500 per month. We believe with
your help and assistance, we can raise this monthly amount to
$800 or more per month. We believe we can accomplish this goal
through our combined efforts
by: |
|
v
Continuing to believe God for the success of this program.
v
Contacting current cardholders using email or regular mail to
remind them to take their card with them and load the card
before shopping.
v Issuing
cards to those who do not have
them.
v Issuing
new cards to current cardholders whose current card is no
longer usable
v
Re-emphasizing the importance of this fundraiser to members of
the congregation
This fundraising activity
benefits the ministries of our future leaders, children and
youth. Whatever we can do today to help their tomorrow is
effort worth doing. Therefore, we believe that with the help
of God and the continued faithfulness of our congregation, the
current $500 per month will be increased $800 and more. If you
do not have a MBCC authorized Kroger or Schnucks’ card, get
one on Sunday or come by the church during the week to get
your card so you can start loading and re-loading your card.
Thanks again for your support! |

$20,000 CHALLENGE–KEEP UP THE GOOD
WORK, WE'RE GETTING
THERE
Thank you so much for coming forward to
meet our $20,000 “My Cause” challenge. One more person came forward
so we are now down to needing only 9 people to make this
goal a reality for our children and youth programs. We are
definitely getting close. So if |
|
you have not joined the fun,
you still have time to do so. Please visit our SunTrust Bank
table on Sunday to complete an application for a checking
account or business account or you can visit any SunTrust bank
to open an account. The Lord continues to bless us so we know
the goal is reachable and achievable. So join with other MBCC
members who have opened accounts to make our children and
youth ministries their cause. The process is simple. The
rewards are
great! | |

develop a more Biblically based youth ministry, student

their regularly scheduled Bible Study @ 8:30 am in Room
08A. All high school youth from 9th to

of young ladies can participate. Sign up today after
