About 75 to 80 persons met this week in the Chapel to champion our 2012 Next Level Corporate Fast. We had a very diverse group of women and men, young and old coming together in a spirit of unity as we move to the next level. We will gather on the first (1st) Wednesday of each month in the Chapel to collectively pray for this fast. Click here to view my video message on praying and fasting. Click here to read the information on our 2012 “Next Level Corporate Fast” program.

We received a couple of testimonies this week that I am sharing with you:

Wednesday Sermon Series Testimony - “I am a new servant at The Blvd and I wanted to let you know how much your sermon last night blessed me. I have always been confused about how I was supposed to feel about homosexuality. I felt guilty for being accepting of them as a person. Not sure if I should continue to support them in their business. You addressed everything I have struggled with and I wanted to personally thank you for your words and your wisdom.”

Sunday Sermon Series Testimony - “Thank you Pastor Frank/your message on Sunday 01/22/12 gave me an ushering up for my marriage. Only the Holy Spirit knows how much I needed that sermon. Thank you for your faithfulness to deliver GOD's word.”

Thank you for your attendance at this week’s Midweek worship. It was raining especially when you left, but the fact that you pushed past the rain and came blessed me. I am looking forward to seeing you again next week. Our topic will be “Why Should I Wait” – sex outside marriage. Remember to pray and fast with us next Wednesday from 6:00AM to 6:00PM.

January is National (Blood) Donor Month. In support of this observance, the BLVD Christian Health Organization (CHO) is sponsoring a blood drive this Sunday, January 29, from 11:00AM until 4:00PM in the Fellowship Hall. Lunch will be provided for donors by a Sickle Cell Team Representative from the Memphis Grizzlies Basketball Team. The representative will make an appearance to sign autographs and/or take pictures with blood donors. All donors will receive a complimentary box lunch and two tickets to an upcoming Grizzlies Home Game. Pre-registration is not required.

Here are a few facts on donated blood: It is often stated that African Americans use approximately 65% of all blood donations and use about 18% of the blood collected by Life Blood. Giving 1 unit of whole blood can save up to 3 lives. It takes less than an hour to give a unit of blood. Please consider being a donor this Sunday.

Come looking for a blessing this Sunday as I download this sermon series’ last sermon on the One True Hope – Jesus Christ.

See you Sunday,

DR. FRANK A. THOMAS Senior Servant
