What
a Sunday? From
the beginning of worship at our East Campus to the ending at
our Midtown Campus we had a great time in worship. Rev. Edward Wheeler
preached a powerful message at both campuses entitled, “The
Disastrous Consequences of Not Knowing.” At our Midtown Campus,
Stellar Award Winning Gospel artist Kurt Carr blessed the
house with songs from his past albums and some from his new
album “Bless This House!”
This
Wednesday at 7:00pm is our last installment of our February
Midweek Tag-Team Preaching Series, “Go Tell It!” I can’t tell you who
the final duo are, but I will say you definitely don’t want to
miss it! Speaking
of things you don’t want to miss, our March Midweek Preaching
series: The Scandal of The Cross. Join us the first
Wednesday in March with Rev. Buster Soaries. Soaries has been
featured several times on CNN and is a dynamic preacher. Watch him here with Soledad
O’Brien on CNN.
We are also excited to welcome special musical guest
Courtney Franklin! Click here to watch him in
worship!
The
Scandal of Cross Midweek Series is focused on our observation
of Lent and as we continue this Lenten Journey let us be
mindful of 6:30am prayer on Thursdays in the Midtown
Sanctuary. We are
also still following our Lenten Guide which you can download
by clicking here. We are praying for our
church and for Pastor Turner who will be joining us very soon
and preaching our Resurrection Sunday service at both
campuses.
As
we continue to build momentum in March, let us save the date
for Saturday, March 23? It’s our EGG-stravanganza! We are
calling for kids of all ages to join us starting at 12:00pm
for Easter Egg Hunts, food, fun and fellowship! It’s a
community celebration so don’t miss it!
Family,
there is so much in store for us right now! March is our
re-birth! We are walking into this new season with great
expectation and as we observe the Resurrection of Jesus Christ
let us be careful to watch the way God will resurrect &
re-birth things in our personal and spiritual lives! Speaking of
re-birth, we
celebrate the birth of McKenzie Alonna Weston born on Monday
Feb 18, 2013. Continue to give thanks with the proud parents,
Marcus and Pastor Nakeesha Weston and family.
Great
things are happening at The BLVD and I am so honored and
blessed to share them with you! | |
