MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Dear Fellow Servants,

The spiritual and physical food that was administered to the entire church family was awesome. Dr. West said this was one of the best experiences he has had in a long time. Thank you for making this revival a success.

Dr. West’s messages moved deep to our core and he expressed profound Biblical insights that caused us to search ourselves and trust in God again. He reminded us that God’s church will continue to go on when everything else fades away, and it is so important to put our trust in God and not in man/woman, because people pass on. He went a little further and told us that when you say that God has done a new thing in your life, you should feel a sense of God’s forgiveness with joy that overrides misery.

Our Children/Youth Revivals went well; the youth were attentive and exhilarated as they praised the Lord along with a guest dance team and choir, the Voices of Triumph, and several guests from churches and schools. Minister Nakeesha Weston preached “What is Your X-Variable?” and Pastor Tim Rodgers preached “That Baby Don’t Look Like Me”. Their evening went so well that the next time they hear revival; they will be looking for their specialized revival.

THE BLVD Community Choir rendered high praise, we sung with them and then we sat and listened to a melody of songs. I was so glad to see guests from the community in the choir. V. Michael McKay not only used the talents of those in the choir but of other musical talents in the House. We were truly blessed by all the musical gifts and talents that ministered to our souls.

If you missed the Fall Festival of Preaching,  or you were here but would like to have a CD or DVD series of the services for yourself and/or family, friends and co-workers, the CD series may be purchased at $25.00 each and DVD series may purchased at $45.00 each. Have you experienced times when ministering you wish you had a sermon or a sermon series to share with the person to whom you were ministering? This soul searching series would be a great set for times like that.

We set attendance records. We had a record number of visitors and general attendance for all three revival nights. The overall Bible Classes winners for our Attendance Challenge was Stewardship Class (first place), Precepts Class (second place), and Protectors Class (third place). The Ministries Attendance Challenge winners’ were Armor Bearers (first place), Ushers (second place), and Diaconate (third place). I received reports of how our Bible Study classes/ groups and Ministries enjoyed the challenge and they were constantly in contact with each other encouraging members to attend the revival. This is how we do it, together, thank you. Click here to view some of our Revival photos.

By Sunday, September 28th, please

take our 2008 Fall Festival of Preaching survey.

New Mid-Week Worship Service Series

The “I Will Trust In God Again” Revival and Wednesday Night Worship Service series ended on a high note with our souls being renewed and revived. God is an awesome God and allows profound preaching/teaching to come to THE BLVD to reveal, inspire and encourage. Our new  M id-Week Worship Service Preaching/Teaching Series  will start on October 1st at 7:00 p.m.    We will be studying of the Book of I John with the theme “Somewhere Between Fear and Love”.  Join us in the month of October as we discover how God’s love frees us from fear to embrace a victorious life .

Thank you for your support of the revival and I pray that something you heard will increase your "Trust In God".  See you on Sunday.
