Dear
Fellow Servant,
“When
I say 100 you say 10…”
I
am so excited to hear that you are enjoying the sermon series,
Life in the Key of
G. So far we have presented Grace, Gifts and Giving in this
series. Sunday brought some promised “special guests” that
were exclusively performing at THE BLVD East and THE BLVD
Midtown. Did you enjoy them? One person sent the message on
our Facebook Fan page “ENCORE…ENCORE”. We will have to check
their availability! In the meantime you can see the photos on
the fan page. In addition last Sunday, we were presented with
a record number of credit cards to cut up and destroy. You
know that made me happy. Most importantly, I am grateful that
you are putting action to the series by supporting the church
“A Little Bit More” in tithes and offerings which is an
appropriate segue to this week’s message: Gratitude. What are
you grateful for and how do you show your gratitude to
God?
As a special reminder:
THE BLVD East is meeting at the Hilton on Sunday, May 30
located at 936 Ridge Lake Blvd. The location temporarily
changes but the time (8:30am) and the awesome worship remain
the same! Make plans to meet us at the Hilton.
I
also want to remind you that we are still praying for those
affected by the recent floods in this area. If you know of a
church member who has been affected please have them contact Pastor Law at
901.272.5603.
Summer
is coming. This is good and bad depending on who you tell. We
have some exciting programs coming this summer at THE BLVD
including our Sons and Daughters in June on Wednesday nights
(7pm), our Umoja Summer Youth Institute (starting June 1), a
powerfully honest series that tackles human desires and a few
more opportunities to keep you “saved through the summer” and
in the FIRST CLASS line with God! Stay tuned for
details.
In
the meantime, I encourage you to continue to do the right
things in your relationships with everyone. Bless the people
that curse you. Pray for the people who spitefully use/abuse
you. Speak to people even when they don’t speak to you.
Protect somebody’s reputation when they won’t protect yours.
Keep people’s confidence when they spread your business
everywhere. Be Generous.
Have
a safe and blessed Memorial Day Monday. But first, come to
worship service this Sunday!
