Dear Fellow Servant,

It’s been a whirlwind of a week and that is not a bad thing. We are gearing up for celebrations at THE BLVD and I want you to be fully aware of what’s happening between now and the end of the year. Are you ready to take it all in?

This Sunday is a very special celebration. It is Children’s Sabbath Sunday. We are taking time to honor, appreciate and recognize our children. As I said Sunday at THE BLVD Midtown, please don’t use this Sunday as an excused absence. We support all ministries including the children. The theme is “We Are All One”. We are one family blessed with gifted children and youth ministries. Please come out on Sunday and show your support.

On Founder’s Day (Nov. 1st), THE BLVD Midtown and THE BLVD East are coming together for one worship service at our Midtown location in celebration of our 88th Anniversary. We are still standing but by the grace of God. I will also be celebrating my tenth year as the senior servant and I am fully prepared to shout Hallelujah! Our special guest artist is musical genius, David Frazier, who has written some of gospel music’s greatest hits including today’s church anthem, I Need You To Survive, how befitting it is for our anniversary.

Then, a little over a month from our anniversary, we will be bringing back National Recording Artist and Grammy Award winner, Donnie McClurkin, to celebrate Holidays at THE BLVD December 13th. I encourage you not to wait to purchase your ticket because waiting may mean missing out on a most blessed celebration. General Admission tickets and special Optional Packages can be purchased on Sundays and throughout the week. Check the bulletin and eNews below for locations and times. Our benefiting organization this year is Hope House Daycare, the ONLY one of its kind in the state of Tennessee serving children infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. To learn more about Hope House visit their website at www.hopehousedaycare.org I am calling on business owners of THE BLVD to support the program by purchasing a Holidays at THE BLVD Ad or sponsorship. Contact Bettye Boone for a sponsorship packet.

With all we have going on and with the change of the season, it is very important that you do all you can to stay healthy. Surely you did not think I was going to end my time with you without mentioning health! My good friend, Scott Morris, at the Church Health Center offered THE BLVD access to their new online magazine called Hope and Healing. It is packed with information, resources, news and events all dedicated to healthier living. Do me a favor and check it out: www.hopeandhealing.org. While you are there please take a minute to complete the survey on the left side of the home page.

We have a survey of our own. Don’t’ forget to tell us what you think about the Annual Family Church Picnic by clicking here and taking the online survey. The survey expires on Monday, October 26th.

Well, that’s all I have for you this week. I would love to hear from you. Send me a note or look me up on Facebook. I check it too from time to time. Have a great week.

See you Sunday!
