CPR
& THE BLVD
The
American Heart Association wants a million people to learn CPR
to help save cardiac arrest victims as part of National CPR
& AED (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & Automated
External Defibrillator) Awareness Week, June 1 – 7. The week
encourages the public to get CPR training and learn how to use
an AED. In support of CPR & AED Awareness Week, June 1 –
7, the MBCC Christian Health Organization will provide a
CPR for Family and Friends Course on Saturday, June
6th from 8:30AM – 11:30AM in the Fellowship Hall.
Our goal is to train 50 persons. There is a $2.50 fee
(payable upon registration) to cover the cost of course
materials. However, pre-registration is required in
order to provide training materials. Please stop by one of the
registration tables after service beginning Sunday, May
24th or place a completed registration form in the
box in the CIC. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to
learn how to save a life! For more information about National
CPR & AED Awareness Week and to find out more about
training, visit this link, or call
1-877-AHA-4CPR. The MBCC contact is Genwyl Glover at

provide a specialized care program which will track the
progress of members after they return home from the hospital.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY KICK-OFF
SUCCESSFUL
The Women's Ministry Kick-Off on April 25th
was a tremendous success! One of the many highlights was the
unveiling of our new identity. With II Corinthians 4:7 as our
guiding scripture, we are now known as the Chosen Vessels
Women's Ministry;
"for we have this
treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power
may be of God and not of us."
II Corinthians 4:7. Over 100 women attended the kickoff; more
than 70 white bath towels were presented to the baptismal
ministry; over 50 women signed up to attend the Embracing Your
Strengths
Bible Study which began on Wednesday, May
6th; and several women joined our circles/small
groups. If you missed the kick off you can still get involved.
Stop by the CIC to pick up a copy of the May/June calendar of
activities. For more information about the Women’s
Ministry, email us.
