Dear Fellow Servant, We are just weeks away from one of the largest
annual events at THE BLVD. Our 2009 Christmas
Concert is Sunday, December 13 at 4pm. This year’s charitable
organization is Hope House Day Care. My family and I are
taking a tour of Hope House this Friday (November 20). As a church we have
committed to reclaiming the family. Your support of the
concert helps us bring hope to the families and children of
Hope House, the only daycare in Tennessee dedicated to the
care of children affected by HIV/AIDS. Our own Dr. Leo Davis,
Jr. gave a testimony last Sunday about the gift he has
received by volunteering at Hope House. You may not be able to
volunteer but you can give a gift of hope this year. Please purchase your
tickets and support our Gift of Hope Christmas concert.
If you missed service last Sunday at THE BLVD, you
also missed a special message sent to us by Donnie McClurkin
himself. After
viewing it in service there was a round of applause by all in
attendance.

here. Earlier this week I had the opportunity to preach a
revival at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church right outside of
Millington. It
was a wonderful opportunity and the atmosphere was warm and
welcoming. I
appreciate Pastor McGhee and the St. Mark family for the
invitation. My
message on Tuesday at the Revival covered The Basin, The Water
Pitcher, and The Towel.
In essence it was about serving in capacities that may
not be considered a part of your job description, experience
and skill. It was
about doing what you can do to serve someone else. This Sunday is Hope
Sunday. We will
have special guests from Hope House at THE BLVD Midtown and I
hope you come ready to not only listen but enter their
story. Come
prepared to serve and support the cause.

BLVD East with its dynamic, inspirational, intellectually

MEETING THE
BLVD Greeters meeting is scheduled for November
21st at 12:00PM in Room 07A. MEN’S MINISTRY ANGEL TREE
PROJECT THE
BLVD Men’s Ministry is asking all BLVD men to donate $25 to
the Angel Tree project, which helps provide Christmas gifts
for children with one or both parents incarcerated. Stop by
the Men’s Ministry table in the Montgomery lobby following
Sunday worship to get additional information and to make a
donation. WOMEN’S MINISTRY DOVE
TREE PROJECT THE
BLVD Chosen Vessels Women’s Ministry is supporting this year’s
Dove Tree Christmas Outreach project. Dove Tree provides
Christmas gifts for children and families of Hope House
Daycare, a center for children affected by HIV/AIDS. Doves may
be adopted from the Dove Tree located in the CIC. All gifts
must be returned by Sunday, December 6th. For

MEDICAL EMERGENCY PLAN MBCC
has an emergency response system for medical emergencies. For
medical help, alert the nearest usher immediately. The usher
will activate the emergency response system and a licensed
health care provider will assist. All 911 calls
should be initiated by a member of the Medical Response
Team. PITTS MURDOCK COVENANT
CEREMONY Minister
Jeffrey Allen Murdock, Jr. & Pastor R. Janae Pitts-Murdock
cordially invite you to share in a post-nuptial covenant
ceremony and reception in celebration of their union and their
new life together. The covenant ceremony will take place in
the sanctuary of Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church
Midtown on Sunday, November 22nd after the
conclusion of the morning worship service with a reception

THE BLVD We
need creative volunteer servants to assist in decorating THE
BLVD Midtown for the holiday season. We will decorate the
sanctuary, vestibule, lobby and other areas of the building.
We will decorate Monday, November 30th through
Friday, December 4th from 9:00AM – 5:00PM. You are
welcome to serve anytime between these days/hours. Lunch will
be provided each day. Please sign up at the Receptionist Desk
in the Montgomery lobby and join us as we bring in the holiday

SCHOOL BIBLE STUDY Bible
Study classes for all middle and high school students are in
session from 8:30AM – 9:45AM every Sunday. We are currently
studying Rites of Passage Curriculums, which is a requirement
for all BLVD Midtown middle and high school students. Please
attend as we strive to achieve excellence for the whole
