MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Dear Servant:

Thank you so much for your support and making Umoja 2009 an outstanding success. Thousands of people were blessed and enjoyed all three performances. Our Saturday and Sunday performances were SOLD OUT. We had a few challenges, but overall our cast, volunteers and staff did such a wonderful job helping our guest (local schools, churches, and people from all around the Mid South community, California, Texas, Illinois, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas) and members experience “IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES”.

I can’t wait to see Umoja 2010!

Please click on my image below to see my thank-you video message and new photos (on the web page, click on the “About” tab to view new photos).

Also, please complete our short on-line Umoja Survey by Sunday, March 22nd.

“CSI: CALVARY”- CHURCH-WIDE BIBLE STUDY

I was our CSI Calvary lead crime scene investigator on Wednesday who helped us uncover the key clues about Jesus’ death. We need your help as we lead our own biblical crime scene investigation following every clue, every lead, and every suspect. Who knows what each week will uncover! We will not stop until we have solved our own Calvary mystery. Please join us each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. as we lead our own biblical crime scene investigation following every clue, every lead and every suspect.

2009 SHORT-TERM BIBLE STUDIES

Remember to feed your spirit with a healthy diet of Bible Study. I want to see 1,000 BLVD servants in Bible Study. Participate in one of the new 4-week studies starting soon for the busy Christian who’s looking for a focused, interactive, and relevant Bible Study. We have classes that meet a variety of schedules and interests. Feed your spirit! Get in a Bible Class! Click here for a listing of classes. Sign up and get more information on Sunday at the Christian Education information table in the Montgomery and Bellevue lobbies, or contact Pastor Janae Pitts at 901.272.5630.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH RENOVATION PROJECT UPDATE

Have you made your donation or pledge to our Children and Youth Project fundraising? We are very instrumental in the growth of our children and youth; the Word tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). We are on our way, but we need everyone’s support to provide the total funding to acquire the proper tools and space the kids need to learn and grow, if you have not made a donation or pledge, please do so today. Our kids’ backdrop theme is “Believe in Me,” let’s demonstrate to our children and youth that we indeed BELIEVE IN THEM. You can still help complete this project on time with your prayers and financial support.

You can support the project by pledging, making a cash contribution during the “special” offering or purchasing an item from the gift registry (click here for more information). Those members who sacrifice at least $100 in cash or in gift value will have their name included on the Children and Youth temporary “Wall of Support” board.

Information tables will be located in both lobbies after service to fully explain what you can do to support this project and the various giving levels. PLEASE come prepared to make the sacrifice to ensure our children’s future.

Blog me at www.theblvdblog.org and share your thoughts. I am looking forward to reading your blog.

See you on Sunday,

Pastor Frank
