MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Dear Fellow Servant,

It’s a “HEART” thing! Do you need a new heart like the Tin Man? I shared Sunday that our hearts have been replaced with chalk lines where there once was love. We have longer lists of people who have hurt us, rather than the people we have hurt. “The Search For Oz” is drawing to a close, and the fact that God has given us everything we need. God’s love is the only love that is perfect. God is the best friend we’ll ever have; he’ll be nearer than our breathing, and closer than our hands and feet. Don’t miss this Sunday as we head “HOME: There’s no place like home.”

REVIVAL - FALL FESTIVAL OF PREACHING

There are TWO DAYS remaining until our Fall Revival. Don’t forget to invite ten people to attend. Remind those you invited and reach out to those you have not invited, yet, that on Monday, September 22 through Wednesday, September 24, our Fall Festival of Preaching will culminate our “I Will Trust In God Again” series. Our guest preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Ralph D. West from The Church Without Walls inHouston Texas, along with renowned recording artist V. Michael McKay and THE BLVD Community Choir. THE BLVD Community Choir is open to everyone and will rehearse each night at 6:00PM; dinner will be served at 5:45PM for choir participants.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008 is Fall Festival of Preaching Dinner Night. Dinner will be served from 5:30PM to 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall; the cost is $1.00 per person. Let’s do as in the olden days and be in the house at dinner time. There are limited tickets, so get yours today. You may purchase tickets in the Bellevue and Montgomery lobbies.

Don’t forget our children!  Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at 7:00PM, we will have specialized revival services for children and youth in the Fellowship Hall. Let’s encourage our children and youth to invite their friends and neighbors to these specialized services.

Remember to come out this Saturday morning at 10:00AM, especially if you were unable to come Monday through Friday evening at 6:00PM for the “Take It To The Streets” campaign inviting our neighbors to the Fall Festival of Preaching.

Have you registered to vote? When I think about my privilege to vote, I remember the price my forefathers paid that I may do so. Do not forget how far the voting process has come; do not let our forefather’s pain, hurt and loss of lives be needless. Register TODAY, there will be registration tables in the lobbies on Sunday and you may also register at the church Monday through Friday, 9:00PM to 5:00PM in the Montgomery Lobby. Your vote counts.

We are going to have a full week and I would like to see the house packed, I’m looking forward to seeing you.

With a Servant’s Heart,

Pastor Frank
