MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD CHRISTIAN CHURCH |

|
Greetings fellow
Servants!
I am, as I write, taking a moment to reflect on the
weather this past week and applying it to life in general.
There was a storm. The force of it caused power to go out all
over Greater Memphis and some are still recovering today. Our
usual comforts were taken away and we had to rely on other
resources to get by until we could regain our comforts. We did not lose our
heads because we knew the situation before us was temporary
and that we would recover. We took care of ourselves, our
neighbors and we made it. I said that to say, there are times
when life will force us to make adjustments to our regular
schedule. It’s alright. Last week, the storm may have caused
you to miss Sunday service and in essence, our tithes and
offerings were severely affected. As we recover this week
taking care of our personal duties, please remember to take
care of God’s house as well. We must have the faith to believe
that even in our darkest times, the One who holds all of the
power, restores it.
That being said, what a month it’s been. June has
come and is now almost over. We have experienced so far this
month some amazing pastors during our Sons & Daughters of
THE BLVD Family Reunion.
Last Wednesday was no exception. Not only did Dr.
Rosalyn Nichols bring a powerful message, she also brought a
beautiful song to accompany the word as a sweet sound in His
ear. We were all moved and grateful to be in the place. Next
week, we close out the series with none other than Dr. Stacy
L. Spencer of New Direction Christian Church. Dr. Spencer, for
those of you who may not know, was once the Youth Pastor here
at THE BLVD. He grew here and now he is allowing God to do a
work in him that has brought him national attention and
brought thousands to Christ. Don’t miss the finale to our Sons
& Daughters Family Reunion Series this Wednesday, June
24th at
7:00PM.
I hope you take some time to review the eNews
information and where possible, participate. Volunteer, be
part of a ministry, give of yourself, give of your gain and
watch how the blessings come back to
you.
Have a blessed
week.
