MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD
CHRISTIAN CHURCH |

Dear
Fellow Servant,
We
are truly blessed at THE BLVD. We bring more international
guests, artists, musicians and singers to our sanctuary in a
month than some would have the opportunity to host in a
lifetime. In the last month we have had Nikki Giovanni,
Richard Smallwood, Sheri Jones-Moffett, Kirk Whalum, and the
angelic voice of Mashica Winslow whose rendition of I Love the Lord
(accompanied by Richard Smallwood on piano) still plays in my
head. Not only that but we are not afraid to show others in
need that we care through our giving to the Servant Fund for
college scholarships, Manna, Haiti Relief, etc. I am so glad
to be here at THE BLVD where the love of God is
evident.
Wednesday
February 17 we entered into the Lenten Season with Ash Wednesday. As you
reflect on the life of Christ and the sacrifices He made for
you, remember how deeply He loved you and make it a point to
show love to someone else. This is why our 40 Days of Love is
so important.
We
began our 40 Days of
Love journey on the 14th. THE BLVD Midtown was
a sea of love dressed in reds, pinks and white. I hope you are
making good on your daily dares. I would love to hear how it’s
going. Send me an email to: pastor@theblvd.org or you can
post your progress on our Facebook Fanpage: THE BLVD (Mississippi
Boulevard Christian Church). I know that Facebook is “new”
school for some but it’s really not hard to get into and
enjoy. Watch soon for some activities attached to our 40 Days
of Love journey including a Date Night for
couples!
April
is around the corner. Before you know, we will be hosting our
annual Umoja
celebration. If you
are a teacher or school administrator, please set aside around
30 minutes directly after worship service at THE BLVD Midtown
Sunday for a
special meeting with me to discuss how you can get
involved with our largest event of the year.
If
you missed this week’s 15 Minutes of Faith with
Dr. Frank Anthony Thomas Wednesday Night on 95.7 at
6pm, you can hear it by
clicking here.
Also,
we have had a demand for the God’s Game Plan
series. It was truly a joy to preach and if you would like
your copy, you can get CDs or DVDs of the series from the
Media Stations in the lobby following worship service. Click here for more
information or to get a view of the
series before you purchase.
Be
sure to come out Sunday for the second installment of our 40
Days of Love series. The subject this Sunday is “Love Does Not Envy, It
Does Not Boast.” Someone in your life will be blessed or
changed by this message so come out and bring someone with
you.
See
You Sunday.

aside daily to deepen your walk with Jesus? In order to
connect with the Sermon Series, “40 Days of Love,” included
are some suggestions to assist you in your journey of “love”
