MINISTRY
Do
you want to get involved in the great things happening at THE
BLVD? Do you have passion to serve and a desire for Christian
fellowship? Come and learn about how to join or start a small
group ministry at a Leaders Training Workshop on Saturday,

ANNUAL CHURCH FAMILY
PICNIC
Our
Annual Church Family Picnic is on Saturday, October
3rd, from 10:00AM to 5:00PM at Desoto Park, near
the Metal Museum (same location as last year).
We will have another great time with lots of
food, fellowship and fun. Bring
your blankets, lawn/folding chairs, card tables, softball
gloves, insect repellent, personal fans, or whatever will make
you comfortable (i.e. sunglasses, comfortable clothing/shoes,

MEN’S MINISTRY CHOOSES
ANGEL TREE
The
men of MBCC are adopting Angel Tree as their Christmas
ministry. Angel Tree supports children who have an
incarcerated parent. All men are asked to donate $25 to the
Angel Tree Christmas Project, which will allow us to provide
gifts for over 100 children this year. Please visit the Men’s
Ministry-Angel Tree table in front of the bookstore for more
information and to make a donation.

Our
new worship service at THE BLVD East will start on September
27th at 8:30AM. This service will be dynamic,
inspirational, intellectually stimulating and a contemporary
style of worship expressed with brevity and clarity. Please (1) Invite friends,

WOMEN
OF WORSHIP REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
The
Women
of Worship
are preparing for Breast Cancer Awareness Sunday (October
10th at THE BLVD Midtown). We are looking for a
minimum of 150 women to join us in song. Please note the
following rehearsal dates: Monday, September
28th, 6:30pm, Monday, October 5th,
6:30pm and Saturday, October 10th, 11:00am. All
rehearsals will convene in the Adult Choir Room M206. For

BREAST CANCER
AWARENESS
October
is National Brest Cancer Awareness Month. Join us at THE BLVD
Midtown for our “Pink Sunday” Worship Service at 10:00AM,
October 11th. We will celebrate cancer survivors in
our BLVD Family and honor/remember those who have passed on.
Remember to “Think Pink” and wear pink on Sunday, October
11th in support of Cancer Awareness. Keep your eyes
and ears open for more information. BLVD cancer survivors who
would like to participate in our “Visions of Victory” photo
montage, please email your photo to Veda Bankhead by September
28th, or call 901.272.5621 for more information. If
you participated in the photo montage in 2007 or 2008 there is
no need to send another photo.
ZUMBA
Zumba
meets on Tuesday evenings at 6:45pm in the Fellowship Hall.
The cost is $4 person session or $12 per month, cash only.
Bring a bottle of water and a towel. For additional
