Greetings
Fellow Servant:
We
are entering into a season of reflection. Today is Ash Wednesday, which marks
the beginning of Lent. Lenten guides are available
in our Bookstore starting today and we will offer the sign of the
cross following our Midweek Service tonight.
As
we move toward worship this Sunday, we give honor to God for
how the body was blessed on last Sunday and for the word that Dr.
Carolyn Showell offered at both campuses. We thank God for the
experience. Even in the
rain, those of you who pressed your way were indeed richly blessed!
Our Ministry Fair was a success
as well. If you missed
the fair, look for ministry guides at both campuses to get connected
or click here to download a
brochure!
Have
you heard about our new Midweek Worship Series? Worshippers are still
excited about how Pastor Kennebrew and Pastor Weston kicked off our
Tag Team Preaching series
entitled: Go Tell It! Our speakers for tonight
will not be revealed until the preaching hour – so don’t miss it!
Meet us at our Midtown
Campus at 7:00pm.
There
is so much great energy swirling around and it is spilling over into
the city! Memphis is buzzing about our Feb 24th service
at our Midtown Campus at
10:00am that will feature Kurt Carr! Worshippers from both
campuses are encouraged to meet us at Midtown for this special
service! See the announcements below for details about how you can
participate in this service.
Let’s
keep showing Memphis that great things are happening at The BLVD!
Have you heard that our
Sanctuary Choir is partnering with Memphis Symphony Orchestra this
weekend at the Canon Center.
Tickets start at $15 and are available at www.memphissymphony.org. Let’s support our choir and
music ministry!
Join
me in the Midtown Sanctuary early tomorrow morning at 6:30am
for prayer! I am aware that it is
Valentine’s Day, but what better way to show love than to spend time
with God, the One who loves us so much? Access our prayer guide by
clicking here.
We’ve
been praying for Pastor J. Lawrence Turner and his wife Sister
Bridgett all month as they waited for the birth of their first
child. Baby Turner, a bouncing baby
boy, made his arrival on Saturday morning, February
9th.
As
we continue to pray as one family, let’s continue to expect new
birth, new life and revival right here at The BLVD!
I
look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday!
