MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD CHRISTIAN CHURCH |
| |
|
Greetings fellow Servants from
Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia!
Each year Hampton University in Virginia hosts a
Ministers and Musicians Conference. This isn’t just any
conference. It is
the largest preachers and musicians conference in the
country. People
come from all over the country to share and absorb creative
ideas, inspirational messages and fellowship. I was fortunate enough
to go this year (as I try and attend annually) with our own
Minister of Music, Leo Davis who by the way is a celebrity
amongst his peers.
They gave him mad respect at the conference especially
during his presentation on Tuesday. He is a rare and
exceptionally talented man of God and we are truly privileged
to have him call THE BLVD
home.
This week we continue our series, Sons &
Daughters of THE BLVD – Family Reunion, with the Rev. Dr.
Rosalyn Nichols, senior pastor of Freedom’s Chapel Christian
Church. If you
have or have not had the occasion to hear this powerful woman
of God speak, you should not miss the opportunity to do so
this Wednesday night, June 17 at 7pm. Please don’t let
someone else tell you how awesome she was. Come and hear for
yourself.
Often, as pastors, we concentrate on giving and
teaching the Word.
Too often we neglect the need to be ministered to and
when the opportunity to receive comes, as it has this week, I
take great joy in it because it is refreshing to my mind and
my spirit. This
fresh outlook renews my energy for the journey ahead. Thank you for allowing
me to have this time of revival for
myself.
There is a lot happening here at THE BLVD. I hope
you take some time to review the eNews information and where
possible, participate.
Volunteer, be part of a ministry, give of yourself and
watch how the blessings come back to
you.
Have a blessed
week.
