Dear Fellow Servants:

Sunday, we begin a whole new chapter to life as we know it at THE BLVD.  It’s our first run-through of worship services at both locations: THE BLVD in Midtown and THE BLVD East.  Our official launch of THE BLVD East is Sunday, September 27th but of course we believe that excellence comes with proper planning which is why we are having two pre-launch Sundays of worship at the East location prior to the official launch.  As we move forward I hope that you are keeping us as a family in your prayers and that you are consecrating yourself so that your prayers bring a level of blessing that puts us into overflow.

This weekend, I am sure many of you will be enjoying the festivities that come with the fun of the Annual Southern Heritage Classic. I believe having fun can prolong your life when done without abandonment of sensibility.  I also believe it is good to gather with like-minded people for a common purpose: enjoyment.  Next weekend, you have an opportunity to again gather with like-minded people for a common purpose: enlightenment.  The difference is that next weekend all you have to do is show up and watch God show out.  On the surface, next weekend may not sound as exciting as a football game and tailgating but inside where spiritual wellness dwells, you will find that your return on next weekend is far greater and life-changing.

If you are a servant of THE BLVD in any capacity, I am not only inviting you; I am encouraging you to come out Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19 to participate in our Consecration Weekend.  Alicia Britt Chole is a powerfully anointed and internationally sought after speaker and woman of God. She will be going deeply with questions like:

·         Have you formed an alliance with fear?

·         Do you possess the strength to be nothing?

·         Does your “Yes, God” have conditions?

You don’t want to miss the words that will be coming out of her mouth!  To properly plan meals and snacks we need to know if you will be here.  Click here to sign up on-line now or via the bulletin insert or designated table following worship on Sunday.  To get the full details about the who and what of Consecration Weekend at THE BLVD click here.

We had the unveiling of the Children and Youth space last Sunday and people were wall-to-wall.  I was so proud to see all of you there. WOW was the most used phrase from our unofficial survey followed closely by AWESOME and GOOD JOB.  Just in case you didn’t see it, click here to check out our open house pictures.  Last Sunday was our final official push for funding the project.  We raised $5,800 Sunday which left us about $5,200 short of our $11,000 goal.  I am very thankful that you gave. I am also a believer and my belief tells me that there is nothing too hard so I have the faith that we will get to 100% of our goal soon.  If you want to give to the project, you may still give by marking your envelope with “Children and Youth”.

Finally, I want to invite you to come out the rest of the month as I begin my new series Great Questions of the Bible.  So many of life’s most difficult dilemmas can be resolved through applying God’s word.  What I will do with this series is explore the questions and the answers as they pertain to your life today.  This series will run through Sunday, November 1st.

Enjoy your weekend.  Be safe.  Be evangelistic.  Be Boulevard!
