MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD CHRISTIAN CHURCH

D
ear Fellow Servant,

The other day in a meeting one of my staff members introduced me to a phrase that has stayed on my mind.  He said that he was going through a study that states “miracles are for unbelievers.”  At first hearing the idea of putting “miracles” and “unbelievers” in the same sentence can be uncomfortable but as this staff member explained, the miracles performed in the Bible were performed to prove the power of God. When you are a believer, miracles are nice but not necessary because you have faith.  I said all of that to say this: I have the faith.  Faith can move mountains.  Surely it can fill Mississippi Boulevard’s sanctuary this Sunday as we celebrate Holidays at THE BLVD. Tickets are still available through the concert and at the same low price of $20.  We did not increase ticket prices.  We want you here.

In preparation for this great event Sunday, December 13 at 4pm, we are having an abbreviated service at THE BLVD Midtown.  In addition, THE BLVD East will hold worship service at the beautiful Memphis Hilton East located at 936 Ridge Lake Blvd this Sunday, December 13.  For those of you who may not know, it’s the tall round mirrored hotel off of I-240 East.  The worship service is in the Southeast Ballroom located on the lower level.

Sunday’s message will be about love.  This love is not based in the emotional sense that normally is associated with love.  This love is in action.  Love that moves you to be more, give more, do more than you would if you did not know love.  Come and worship with us Sunday at either location.  Don’t forget to share your stories with us on the wall in the sanctuary at our Midtown campus.  We want to know how you are Entering the Story this Christmas and sharing love with others. No deed is to great or too small. I can’t wait to hear them all.

See you Sunday!

FUN ACTIVE SPORTS TOGETHER @ THE BLVD

Pastor Frank is an avid believer that the faith journey is prosperity for the soul and good health is prosperity for the body (“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prospereth” - 3 John 2). Many have heard and prospered from Pastor Frank's message; we have lost weight, we feel good, look good and are on fewer medications.  There are testimonies all over the church about how exercise and diet has changed lives of whole families.  We want to create a ministry that can add to Pastor Frank's teaching through our Family Life Center (FLC). We need your help to develop a family recreational ministry called Fun Active Sports Together (FAST). Please fill out the brief survey connected to this message. Thank you so very much, we can prosper together as a family and live in good health while having a boatload of fun. Please help us by participating in this survey by Dec 28, 2009.
